ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT OUR NEW INTERIM MINISTER
Bishop Sarah writes:
I am delighted to announce that The Revd Kay Rogers, currently serving as Curate in the Edgmond with Kynnersley and Preston Wealdmoors benefice and Tibberton with Bolas Magna and Waters Upton benefice, has been appointed as Interim Minister of the Benefice of Kinnerley with Melverley, Knockin with Maesbrook, and Maesbury within the Diocese of Lichfield and the Shrewsbury Episcopal Area.
Kay brings with her a deep love for the local church, a warm pastoral heart, and a genuine gift for building relationships and encouraging others in faith. Throughout the discernment process she demonstrated a clear sense of God's call to this ministry, together with a thoughtful and collaborative approach to leadership. I have every confidence that she will bring wisdom, compassion and hope as she begins this new chapter alongside the people of the benefice.
Please also remember the congregations and communities of the Edgmond with Kynnersley and Preston Wealdmoors benefice and Tibberton with Bolas Magna and Waters Upton benefice as they prepare to say farewell to Kay with gratitude for her faithful ministry among them.
Above all, I invite you to hold Kay, her family and friends, and the people of both benefices in your prayers during this time of transition. May they know the Lord's peace and guidance, deepen in faith and confidence together, and be continually renewed by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit as they step into all that God has prepared for them.
The date of the Licensing Service will be 24th August 2026.
